Abstract

The Netherlands transposed the amended Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive into Art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (hereafter TA). However, the fierce reactions of both the industry and citizens led the government to further amend the specific provision in 2015. This paper provides a short overview and discussion of the changes introduced in the Dutch Telecommunications Act in 2012 and their amendment in 2015.
