Abstract

This paper focuses on the protection of software and e-commerce business methods from patent perspective. In particular and with the aim of comparison, the paper examines national approaches for software and e-commerce business methods patent under the South African Patent Act, the UK Patent Act, the US Patent Act and the European Patent Convention.
