Delay in redressing grievance creates displeasure among employees. Many of such grievances are routine and structured, which can be effectively handled, if there is a proper system at place. This paper, written in the situation-contexts of early 1990's, suggests a conceptual model for developing a programmable 'effective grievance management system'. It precedes the implementation of HR-related information systems (HRIS) in Indian organisations.
