Abstract

It is often said that “with power comes, great responsibility”. Gumla District has recently been notified as Municipal Council. Now, this has increased the burden of municipality to provide the people with the adequate facilities requisite for the maintenance of living standard of the society. Albeit, each ward has Ward Commissioner to look into the grievances of the locality and report it to the Municipal Council. But, the conduct of the municipality seems to be at stake. Such relentless attitude of the municipality does not hold good for the effective functioning of the society.
