CO2Laser Influence on the Structural Properties of CdO Thin Films Prepared by Chemical Spray Pyrolysis (CSP) Method

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study effect of laser CO2 on the structural properties of Cadmium Oxide (CdO) films prepared by Chemical Spray Pyrolysis (CPS) technique. The films are deposited on glass substrate using Cd(NO3)2.4H2O concentration (0.1) M at temperature (350°C), using 6 spray rate during (10) second crystalline structure and surface morphology of CdO thin films were examined by XRD analysis. The result showed the films are polycrystalline. The structural properties of CdO films have been determined using Atomic Force Microscope (Roughness Avg.(Sa), Sq(RMS) has been calculated. The obtained films were exposed to CO2 continuous laser with energy (2) Watt at time (15) sec, when the distance at (1) meter far from the source, extend of wavelength (300-1100) nm. Result films reported after irradiation showed an improvement of the structural properties by increasing the granulated size and decreasing Roughness Avg(Sa) and Sq(RMS). The XRD data indicates that the sample showed perfection in the microstructura improvement as a function of CO2 laser irradiation
