Abstract

This book chapter provides an analysis of the current arbitration legislation and practice in Romania, with regard to the role and requirements of the arbitral tribunal, as well as the appointment process, challenge procedures and grounds for challenges. The chapter addresses both domestic and international arbitration, with focus mainly on ad hoc arbitration, providing a comparative analysis of both laws and rules from a practical and international perspective.
