Armenia and the Customs Union: Impact of Economic Integration

Abstract

This report has been prepared on the basis of a detailed analytical study made on the instructions of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation supported by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia.

This report provides the assessment of the macroeconomic impact of Armenia joining the Customs Union. Quantitative analysis has demonstrated that, as a result of integration with the CU, the additional growth in Armenian GDP will approximate 4%.
