French Abstract: En juin 2015, la Cour Suprême américaine s'est prononcée en faveur de la constitutionnalité du mariage homosexuel dans son arrêt Obergefell v. Hodges. Cette contribution offre une perspective européenne sur le raisonnement adopté par la Cour Suprême dans cette décision.

English Abstract: In June 2015, the US Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage in his famous Obergefell v. Hodges decision. This article offers a European perspective on the reasoning of the Court in that case, and seeks to draw a comprehensive comparison with the approach of the European Court of Human Rights on the issue of homosexual unions.
