An Empirical Analysis of the Performance of Islamic Instruments in the Nigerian Capital Market

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse the performance of the Islamic compliant securities in the Nigerian capital market over a period of five years. Incidentally, only Lotus capital is quoted as an Islamic compliant security in the market. Data for the study were collected from the annual reports of the company and those of its type that are non Islamic compliant. T-test is used to measure the performance of the product.
