Abstract

The chapter contains comments on the Articles of the newly added Chapter VI on data protection (Articles 78 through 83 of the Recast European Insolvency Regulation 2015/848), including a short overview of the history of European data protection law, its basic features and sources of law as well as the main challenges facing both data protection law (in isolation) and the interface of data protection and insolvency laws.
