Revisión del método del ingreso del PIB y planteamiento de una propuesta para expresar los principales indicadores macroeconómicos (Revision of the Income Method of GDP and an Approach to Express the Main Macroeconomic Indicators)

Abstract

Spanish Abstract: Se realiza una revisión del concepto del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) y algunos tópicos referidos a las cuentas nacionales. Se plantean los aspectos principales de los tres métodos de medición: producción, gasto e ingreso; respecto a este último se evalúa de una breve el contenido correspondiente publicado en los libros texto más utilizados en América Latina y otros adicionales. El método del ingreso de medición del PIB es ampliado, a cada variable que corresponde a un tipo específico de retribución se agrega información respecto a la residencia de la unidad institucional que percibe la renta y al territorio económico en el cual se generó la retribución, incluyendo además la especificación de la residencia de quien paga los montos correspondientes. En base a esta propuesta se procede al planteamiento de otros indicadores macroeconómicos.

English Abstract: We review the concept of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and some topics related to the national accounts. The main aspects of the three measurement methods are presented: production, expenditure and income; with respect to the latter one cited, we make a brief evaluation of the corresponding content published in the textbooks most used in Latin America and other additional texts. We expand the GDP measurement income method, each variable corresponding to a specific type of remuneration is aggregated with respect to the residence of the institutional unit that receives the income and the economic territory in which the remuneration was generated, in addition we add the specification of the residence of those who pay the corresponding amounts. We extend this approach for other macroeconomic indicators.
