Abstract

The vision behind provision of eco-friendly products/services in the manufacturing sector is conceptually associated with sustainability. Such thinking solicits a deeper intervention with the implementation of green – environmentally friendly practices throughout the supply chain. At times several auxiliary benefits may be promised with green practices, which remain shallow because Green thinking is still not applied effectively and efficiently attributed due to the barriers in its implementation. This research reports the various aspects of GSCM approach along with some barriers revealed on the basis of extensive literature review.
