Abstract

A book review that provides an overview of Jelke Boesten’s 2014 book: Sexual Violence During War and Peace: Gender, Power, and Post Conflict Justice in Peru. The reviewer provides an overview of Boesten’s thesis while offering her own insight into some of the key issues that Boesten raises in particular the burden on victims to testify in transitional justice settings about their experience with sexual violence.
