Abstract

Silver is known as an antimicrobial harmless element to the human’s heath for a long time. Nowadays, by emerging multidrug-resistant microorganisms, application of silver in its nanoparticle form has raised interests of many researchers in the field of medicinal chemistry. Currently, different strategies of usage and synthesis of silver nanoparticles are explored based on their effectiveness, cost and impacts on the ecosystem. Green synthesis is accepted as an alternate synthetic method of silver nanoparticles. This paper presents an overview on green synthesis of silver nano particles and their inhibitory role on the control of pathogenic microorganisms and parasites.
