Abstract

The paper highlights the emerging concept of corporate privacy. From the traditional concept of privacy which is centred on the individual, a new concept of corporate privacy has been recognised. The need and trend of corporate privacy in terms of new legislations has been identified in the paper. Authors have analysed the laws of European Union, United States of America and India for protection of data of corporations. Authors have highlighted the corporate data which needs protection. The present law for data protection for corporations in the identified jurisdictions has been critically analysed and the need for a global privacy framework for corporations has been identified in the present work.
