Comparison of recent firings by President Trump with the firing of United States Attorneys by then Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. The author applies lessons learned as one of the fired U.S. Attorneys, together with a recent ethical conundrum occurring during his service in the Middle East to describe a method of ethical decision making and ethical leadership broadly applicable to lawyers and all who support the rule of law.
