Abstract
This paper aims to approach some aspects related to the denial of the childfree choice in women rights agenda in connection with liberal and radical thought approaches to human rights discourse. It is argued that the rise of family planning in illiberal societies vis-à-vis liberal societies genetic engineering paradoxes underscores moral values embedded in the separation of public and private spheres in liberal states. Further, it is argued that the new millennium trends, indicates that reducing the family size, may not only be eco-friendly, but also may lead to women empowerment.
