Abstract

The report is devoted to investigation of the problem of implementation of game "Labyrinth" in therapy and rehabilitation of people with Alzheimer's disease. Authors make analysis of the new types of games and gaming procedures which specifically designed for the playing by people with Alzheimer's disease. Game "Labyrinth" uses technology of virtual reality: a helmet and a special treadmill. The patient moves to the target along the streets of the city, which gradually changes. This game with elements of orientation in space trains memory and is used for people suffering from Alzheimer's disease. According to result of our investigation such training will be able to slow down the process of destruction of brain cells and inhibit the development of dementia among elder people. We made the conclusion implementation of game "Labyrinth" is useful for rehabilitation measures to restore the work of the brain of patients with Alzheimer's disease.
