Abstract

Cybercrime is a fast growing expanse of crime. It is a crime that involves a computer and network. The article examines the concept of cybercrimes and its growing template in the world, particularly Nigeria. It extends deep into the categories and crime levels of cybercrime. The article discovered that cybercrime has done a lot of damages to the individuals, government, and global community in totality. It is a major worry world-wide. The article explained further that if adequate care is not taken, cybercrime in a notorious way will wreck the global community. The article therefore recommended that holistic approach should be taken to protect the world, particularly the developing nations like Nigeria, against the havoc of cybercrime. The cybercrime act in Nigeria should be amended to avoid ambiguity in order to make it in tandem with the global minimum standard.
