Abstract

It is indisputable that each of the BRICS countries has already laid down important “bricks” of legislative, institutional and enforcement frameworks of their national competition law regimes, which can be “built upon” by other countries developing their own competition enforcement. At the same time, it remains to be seen whether BRICS nations will be able to overcome current limitations to their cooperation in the field of competition law and policy and thus to contribute to the building of the foundation of an international cooperation mechanism for cross-border competition enforcement.
