This paper, presented at the Constitution at 80 Conference at the University of Limerick in November 2017, discusses recent remedial innovations in the cases of NHV, Persona, and PC, and its implications for Irish constitutional law. It also discusses the meaning of these developments for Ireland's constitutional culture, and explores the unusual position we find ourselves in as we reach the Constitution's 80th anniversary.
