Abstract

There exist certain schemes of the bank through which micro-financing is promoted to women in Haryana. The study attempts to understand the nature and aim of the schemes specific to Punjab National bank and to undertake critical analysis of schemes to find out: what is the scheme; how it has benefited the women in empowering them; what is total amount of disbursement in the scheme and future outlook of the scheme. The study collected data for Sonepat district for Punjab National Bank through which the schemes are operational, and evaluated the schemes for women through which micro-financing is given and has impact on their empowerment.
