Abstract

Uses a classic Western movie to make predictions about America's racial future. As the U.S. approaches a demographic tipping point a few years from now, will it follow the path trod by California in the last few decades of the twentieth century and the first few years of the current one? That of the American South as it struggled to come to terms with Latino immigration? Of South Africa during Apartheid?

Keywords: legal history, race and civil rights, apartheid, butch cassidy and the sundance kid
