Abstract

Collection and treatment of data and communications has experienced great advancement, overall when it comes to online platforms, which brings up doubt about who has control over what occurs with those data. They have become the main economical object since the popularization of internet - environment where services don’t demand counterpart in cash, but rather are exchanged by data, through terms of use that allow collecting of information. Foreseeing high investigative potential in these, government entities have demanded cooperation, in crime investigation, from the companies who offer online platforms, in order to obtain suspects’ data.
