Abstract

This book encapsulates innovation in the oil and gas industrial sectors. Oil and gas law cover a wide range of area of law, including property law, tort law, international law, environmental law, contract law, human rights, constitutional and administrative law and all aspects of the laws relating to the acquisition of exploration and extraction licenses, leases, taxes, negotiations, litigations, drafting and documentation. The oil and gas law student, practitioner and researcher may, also, be actively involved in evaluating the services bordering on export and import of goods and services including agency, franchising, intellectual property, carriage and banking agreements. In essence, the duty of the oil and gas law practitioner is, therefore, to offer counsel to the oil firm’s business clients on issues relating to their economic activities. It also provides guidelines for the drafting of various oil and gas contracts including joint ventures, joint development agreements, unitization agreements etc.
