Abstract

In the Internet of Things (IoT), the physical real world objects are ubiquitously integrated into information networks in order to provide intelligent applications for human beings. Due to the heterogeneous and highly resource constrained devices, security issues constitute a major hindrance for their deployment. Among these issues, the key management is challenging because of the discrepancies in the existing cryptographic primitives. However, the current state-of-art is deficient in the comprehensive study on key management in IoT. This paper surveys the various key management protocols in the current literature and discusses the research challenges.
