Abstract

Present generation trend is to work smart instead of doing hard work. So the current technology is driven by smart devices. The smartness comes by the introduction of Cognitive behavior in the devices. Robotics is the main branch that is automating the world. Agriculture is the major source of food for the human life. Robots are used extensively in agriculture for work automation which leads work speed up and increased crop yield. This paper provides description of the robot which is used for doing multiple field related works automatically and also behaves according to the environment and works smartly. The designed robot is capable of moving in the field automatically and on recognizing the boundary it takes either left or right turn based on the initial command given to it. The specified robot can also follows the commands issued by the person orally. The agricultural works such as ploughing and seed spreading can be done at the same time using this robot. The robot is designed to handle the unexpected situations smartly. The implemented model has been tested in a simulated environment with minimal distance, small number of constraints and low battery power requirements. In real time it can be implemented for longer distances, with many more constraints, but under high power requirements. The extension can be done by changing the sensors and motors. This robot serves as a smart and cognitive multipurpose robot for agricultural application.
