Abstract

Valuation of various aspects of an M& A is often difficult. This is magnified when the M&A has international aspects. In particular, a proper evaluation requires that the risks which are part of international investments (that are not typically present in domestic investments) need to be understood and then valued separately so that the purchase price properly reflects all of the risks.

The paper provides a discussion of 20 such risks that should be evaluated.
