Abstract

The paper critically comments on a report published by World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) on the impact of intellectual property on new vaccine development. In contrast to the WIPO report findings and remarks, the paper suggests that the expansion of patenting on new vaccine technologies has posed increasing challenges to access.

Keywords: access to medicines, vaccines, patent, intellectual property
