Data Analytics Applied to Scholarly Data Moroccan Research Trends

Abstract

As digitization and data related technologies are in continuous development, more organizations and research institutions aspire to make use of those technologies in service of their evolving strategies. More digital libraries and academic networks are created, thus creating growing scholarly data across the web, holding information about scientific publications, academic events and research experiments. Those data hold more value and insights to be explored, especially using data analytics to make useful applications from scholarly data. In this paper, we present our work in scholarly data analytics, in the aim of getting an informative view about Moroccan research trends and their evolution across the years by analyzing data extracted from Scopus.
