Plastic waste accumulation is an increasingly worrisome global environmental problem. According to the Earth Policy Institute (2014), more than one trillion plastic bags are used by the world community each year. It is obviously very worrying, where plastic waste is proven to pollute the environment because it is difficult to degrade by microorganisms. Indonesia became one of the countries responsible for this, because according to Jambeck (2015) Indonesia is the second largest contributor of plastic waste that reached 187.2 million tons. The use of eco-friendly reusable bags to replace plastic bags are considered very appropriate to reduce the amount of plastic waste in every country. This also becomes an opportunity for the business sector, because 64% of Indonesian consumers are willing to pay extra for products and services coming from companies committed to bringing positive social and environmental impacts. But in fact, not all eco-friendly products industry including reusable bag successfully developed their business. Because this type of industry requires efforts to adopt new strategies in product and market development. Unfortunately, most of them are small businesses with minimal knowledge about environmental sustainability, weak in management aspect, and have financing limitations. Therefore, this research has designed an effective business model to support the eco-friendly reusable bag industry to carry on their business. The business model analysis method used is Business Model Canvas (BMC). BMC is a business model that aims to map out strategies to build a strong business, able to win the competition and be successful in the long term. By this method, can be formulated the overall business strategies for reusable bag products can be accepted and used by the general public. This strategic map has proven to help eco-friendly product industry in developing their business, while turning on the future of earth with reducing plastic waste.
