Abstract

The E1 response of 238U actinide nuclei below the particle threshold was studied using translational and Galilean invariant QRPA. Especially strength properties of the K=0- and K=1- electric dipole excitations are investigated and studied their contribution to the formation of PDR mode below neutron separation energy.
