Abstract
The research attempts to study the market potential & target audience for the grassroots innovative alternate for farming. The research attempts to provide insights to the innovator, strategy makers and academicians for the purpose of product commercialization that benefit both farmers and innovator. Bullet Santi is an innovative product developed by a farmer in Gujarat. It is an alternative to tractor for smaller/poor farmers as well as substitution for daily labour for bigger farmers. A field study in a few villages of Ahmedabad rural was carried out to understand the potential target market, farmer needs & wants, new product perception, pricing gaps, communication and distribution requirements.
