Student Opinion on Campus Speech Rights: A Longitudinal Study

Abstract

Two studies of Smith students views on speech rights fifteen years apart show significant movement. The political views of the student body have shifted well to the left and the group self-identified as "strong liberal" is the least supportive of speech rights. That was not true in the survey fifteen years ago.
