Abstract

The following table is a compilation of data on state Transportation Network Companies (TNC) and Marketplace Contractors (MC) laws, as of Oct. 2018. The table sums information on two aspects of those laws: Preemption of local government regulation of TNCs, and treatment of employment status of TNC drivers. This is part of an ongoing project on TNCs, labor, and federalism.
