Abstract

Are you an early career researcher (ECR) in finance, actively looking to take on the role of “apprentice” reviewer but struggling to capture the attention of journal editors? If so, then the current paper is for you! It outlines a novel initiative at the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (PBFJ), through a newly devised “Certified Novice Reviewer Program” (CNRP). Specifically, I propose a basic 3-step process for trial at PBFJ that aims to provide a realistic pathway for ECRs facing the “novice reviewer roadblock”.
