Finite Difference Formulas for Caputo Derivative

Abstract

In this paper we derive a new finite difference formulas using interpolating polynomial with its error term to approximate the fractional derivative of y(t) in the Caputo sense for m-1< α < m. These formulas can be used to approximate the solution of linear and nonlinear fractional differential equations.
