Abstract
This article considers the Hastings District Court case of The Outstanding Landscape Protection Society Inc v Hastings District Council. The case was an application for resource consents to develop a wind farm in the area. The author focuses on the main internal tensions the case created within the Resource Management Act 1991, specifically the effects on the landscape of Te Waka against the climate change provisions.
