Abstract

In the present work, we consider a time fractional Majda-Biello system describing the equatorial baroclinic-barotropic waves which has great impact on weather forecast and seasonal climate variation. Using Lie group analysis, we derive the symmetric group of transformations for the governing system of equations. Under the invariant condition the system of fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs) is reduced to system of fractional ordinary differential equations (FODEs). Further, the power series solution of the reduced system of FODEs is constructed and it’s convergence is discussed.
