The Pygmalion Effect: Importance in an Organizational Management

Abstract

This work reviews the earliest experimental research demonstrating that expectation sometimes create their own realities through self-fulfilling prophecies. The paper reviews the original work on “experimenter effects” — an occurrence whereby scholars sometimes bias the results of their own research in such a manner as to lead to confirmation of their own hypotheses. However, I found that, these research works are limited owing to nothing has been said about Importance of Pygmalion effect in an organizational management. Moreover, using their own method and other sources, I found that the Pygmalion effect is one of the powerful things that can assist manager to manage an organization properly. The findings contribute to the organizational management as well as tools that can lead an organization to success.
