Abstract

There seems to be two paths for reform of the WTO: (a) internal reforms which consist of measures to meet the current deficiency including the strengthening of anti-subsidy measures, measures prohibiting forced transfer of technology, the creation of mechanism which would review Appellate Body rulings. (b) In addition to the current roles, the WTO can explore possibility for external activities in cooperation with other international organizations. It is this latter aspect which this presentation deals with.
