The objective of the following paper is to clearly outline the types of Manufacturing Planning and Control systems (MPC) that have characterized the last hundred years, but which are affected, in terms of functionality, the characteristics of the contexts and the decades in which they were designed. In this paper, the fundamental characteristics of the approach will be reviewed and the methodology that will be followed in the future implementation will be presented.
