Abstract

This research is entitled "An Emotion of Anxiety Expressed through Examinations and gestures in the Get Out Film by Jordan Peele". Emotion is basically one form of communication. The purpose of this study was to analyze the speech and gestures of the characters in Get Out films in expressing emotions of anxiety. The methodology used in this study was descriptive research. Data collected is speech and gestures in expressing anxiety in accordance with the Emergency Cannon theory (1929). This theory mentions emotion as a psychological subjective experience, arises together with a physiological reaction (heart palpitations, blood pressure rises, breathing increases, adrenaline flows in the blood and so on).
