Abstract

The chapter covers the legal policies relevant for the attainment of full employment or the creation of unemployment. This includes (1) fiscal policy, and using investment, procurement, and education to regulate employment levels, (2) monetary policy, as administered by the central bank, and (3) income insurance, through administering payments to unemployed people, and (4) policies that affect international trade.
