Talent Management with Big Data Analytics: A Review

Abstract

The data of any organization in the current competitive scenario is limitless. This led the organizations to put a special emphasis on the process of collecting, storing and analyzing the massive data, through which they sensed would bring an ideal approach by all the decision makers of the organization at work. This big data is used by employers to improve their organizational performance. In this era of big data, how is the HR world changing to get benefited with technological innovations? It is true that many variables like personality, situational behavior, etc. of HR segment are difficult to measure due to their dynamic nature. There are many developments on how we understand the significant areas of managing the human resources and headmost of them is in the segment of talent management. Once the process of talent management is initiated, it mitigates the organizational risk by bringing in and developing the human capital with enough technical expertise to deliver the projects in strategic line. Talent management when done in-sync with Big Data analytics enables a revolution in talent management decisions and finally, in the organization’s performance. The aim of this study is to examine the usage and impact of Big Data in talent management. This is a descriptive study and it presents prominent information on the importance of Big Data’s utility in talent management to overcome the glitches in decision making.
