The paper is devoted to the analysis of comprehension as the problem in public relations. Comprehension acts as the key problem in public relations, since the image of a company or the individual depends on the comprehension of an event. The specificity of public relations is the establishment of communication and certain relations between two subjects of comprehension. The complexity of the nature of comprehension is manifested in the article, in particular, in the complexity of the relationship between knowledge and the human ability to understand. We made the conclusion that the solution to the problem of comprehension is that it is no longer reduced to a method of cognition or explanation, nor to mental processes. Comprehension has considered as the way of human existence. Comprehension is the phenomenon that has arisen in direct connection to the process of communication and it is the necessary condition for the existence and construction of PR-communications.
