Abstract

This paper highlights planning as an essential tool for achieving economic development while highlighting the developmental objectives of Nigerian economy. It also portrays pollution health hazards as a national issue and discusses the implications of planning on pollution control while bearing in mind the need for policy makers to incorporate effective environmental laws into their policy decisions.
