The recent advancement in the human life and industries are increasing the role of robots. The day is not far when robots will become an integral part of life. This paper focuses on the replacement of motor by the artificial muscle made by IPMC. This paper also discusses the advantages of using IPMC as artificial muscle over other materials. The work of motor in the robot is to actuate any of the part motion; the idea in this research paper is that this actuation will by provide the IPMC or artificial muscles. This paper also presents the IPMC as an actuator with a biomimetic system. The contraction in human muscles will lead to the actuation energy of IPMC. The paper also discussed effectively lowering the cost of IPMC by changing the coating of IPMC from noble material to Palladium Electrode.
