Abstract

The proposed programmed automation has been devised keeping in mind the choking of drainage channels due to sludge formation leading to flooding of streets during natural calamities or because of incessant rains. This project also aims at preventing occupational hazards to sewer cleaners. This device will be placed into the drainage system using a telescopic handle. The device has caterpillar track maneuvre. It has a spraying head for water. An elevated conveyor belt will be attached to bring the sludge till the inlet of the vacuum. The suction mechanism collects the debris in a septic treatment bin outside.
