Abstract

Breast cancer now a days has become a quite common problem in women. It starts when cells of breast grows tremendously. These cells generally form a tumor, which is felt like a lump. The tumor can be malignant or benign. Malignant is cancerous tumor while benign is non-cancerous. Benign can be treated easily but malignant treatment depends on the stage. Therefore, it is very important to understand for a women to type of lump and stage. This study is an effort towards the prediction of type breast cancer. For the same, linear kernel Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm is being used. Experimental results shown 90.3% accuracy in prediction.
